London-based music promotions company Leyline has cemented its move into the marketing and PR space by relaunching its website.
As previously reported, Leyline, traditionally best known as the promoters of various club franchises around the capital, including CMU's own live events, last year expanded its PR department to become a core part of their business, providing marketing services to players across the music space, and especially those in the live sector, or those using live events to promote other music ventures. Leyline had always provided such PR services to other companies, but it is now a much bigger part of what the company does, which the new look website reflects.
Leyline chief Adrian Leigh told CMU: "Ten years ago, Xfm gave us a wonderful opportunity to manifest their specialist radio shows into cutting edge club nights, giving us invaluable experience in so many genres of music, including The Remix with EddyTM, The All City Show with Dan Greenpeace, Flo-Motion with Nick Luscombe and The Rinse with James Hyman. We were inspired to create our own club brands such as Kill All Hippies and HUM, where free entry was guaranteed to our opted-in subscribers, something we could do by entering into joint venture partnerships with venues who realised the benefits of helping us sustain and develop loyal and well informed music communities".
On the expansion of Leyline's publicity division, he continues: "Creating environments for artists and fans to flourish in had become our reason for existing, if you like. I suppose our depth of understanding in the live music sector led us, in recent years, into becoming more of a bridge between music and the media as more artists, festivals, venues and even films sought the need for specialist representation. LeylinePublicity.com is a reflection of that change and an invitation to view what we are all about now. The fact that we are still here buzzing and rising to new challenges after ten years is worth celebrating in itself!"
